Hmm…I feel like I’m saying the same thing I did last year. It’s simply not quite as good as Blueberry Boat, but it’s a hell of a lot better then last year’s monstrosity. There are some winners on this album, especially “Benton Harbor Blues.” The problem with this band is that they too often try to redefine what music is with complicated song structures, and the result is certain confusion.
