This cursory deliverance of music is a huge step down from Happy Songs; I think the experimental rockers have lost the vibe. The songs unremitting changes in tempos are not a successful formula for Mogwai. Some songs have added lyrics, which again, it’s not Mogwai at their acme. I can’t say that this is a bad album; it just isn’t what I would have expected.
