If I could describe this band in one word it would be “plateau.” That’s basically their future since “Tell All Your Friends.” The repetitive nature of this album is even worse than their sophomore effort. There’s no energy and no emotion, except in the occasional “boom” of a chorus (Make Damn Sure). I will say that I did fall in love with this album at first, but that phenomena faded after three listens. The good news is that the songs that are good are really good.
