Rarely is it even possible for a band to release a solid b-sides album. Albums like Radiohead’s Amnesiac and The Fiery Furnaces’ EP have proven their worth in the indie world; however, they never hit as much success as the original full length album. The Avalanche is a collection of songs from Sujfan’s critically acclaimed album Illinois. While the songs are excellent, there is a clear reason why they didn’t make last year’s full length. This album is for die-hard fans, containing some alternative versions of past songs as well as some new ones. If you are expecting another Illinois, you will be let down.
