The new album from Head Automatica is like vanilla ice cream: While it’s a good flavor, many people will prefer its chocolate counter-part (in this case their previous albums). Popoganda is a brilliant panoply of dance punk and lavish pop, but it wears on you fast. Daryl slows down his vocals on this disc, and the results are a somewhat more relaxed aura. The album simply lacks the energy that made Decadence a heavy hitting success.
